Zamach na JFK, a sprawa izraelska

Obejrzałam właśnie przeciekawy materiał https://youtu.be/_42aBSzgY3A o stosunku Prezydenta Kennedy'ego do izraelskiej broni nuklearnej. Pod filmem taki oto opis:

May 18, 1963, White House: President John F. Kennedy composed letter to Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. Letter about Israel's nuclear facility at Dimona in Negev Desert. Kennedy wrote: "This Government's commitment to and support of Israel could be seriously jeopardized if it should be thought that we were unable to obtain reliable information on a subject as vital to peace as the question of Israel's effort in the nuclear field." Strongest language Kennedy had used with Israel. Almost an ultimatum. Demanded American inspectors have full access to Dimona. Israel had been refusing. Less than one month after letter sent, June 16, 1963: Ben-Gurion resigned as Prime Minister. Six months after letter, November 22, 1963: Kennedy assassinated. 1958: Israel began construction at Dimona with French assistance. Told world it was textile plant, then research reactor. Both lies. Facility designed to produce plutonium for nuclear weapons. 1960: U.S. U-2 spy planes photographed site. CIA concluded Israel building nuclear weapons. May 1961: Kennedy met Ben-Gurion in New York, raised Dimona issue. Ben-Gurion said peaceful purposes only. Kennedy didn't believe him. Kennedy demanded inspections. First inspection May 1961: two American scientists visited, given limited tour, shown only certain areas. Second inspection 1962: again limited access. Israel had built fake control room to deceive inspectors. Real control room hidden. Kennedy's July 5, 1963 letter: "There is no more urgent business for the whole world than the control of nuclear weapons." June 26, 1963: Levi Eshkol became new Prime Minister after Ben-Gurion resigned. November 22, 1963: Kennedy killed. Lyndon Johnson became president, pressure on Israel over Dimona ended. By 1967: Israel had developed nuclear
 weapons.

A wcześniej równie interesujący film o próbie tegoż prezydenta zmuszenia AIPAC do ujawnienia się  jako izraelskie lobby. https://youtu.be/A592Hbsh6-U Oto opis:
1962: U.S. Department of Justice opened investigation into American Zionist Council, parent organization of AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee). Investigation authorized by Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, brother of President John F. Kennedy. Purpose: Determine whether American Zionist Council operating as unregistered agent of foreign government—specifically, Israeli government. Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA, passed 1938): Requires any person or organization acting on behalf of foreign government to register with Department of Justice. Registration requires disclosure of funding sources, activities, materials distributed. Restricts certain political activities. Requires materials labeled as coming from foreign agent. 1962-1963: Justice Department investigation found evidence American Zionist Council receiving funding from Israeli government, coordinating activities with Israeli officials, operating to advance Israeli government interests within United States. Based on evidence, Kennedy administration moved toward requiring American Zionist Council to register as foreign agent. November 22, 1963: President Kennedy assassinated. Lyndon Johnson became president. Within months: Investigation quietly dropped. American Zionist Council never required to register. To this day, AIPAC operates as domestic lobbying organization, not subject to restrictions that apply to foreign agents. Other countries employ registered foreign agents: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE, China have registered lobbyists. Israel's massive lobbying operation never registered under FARA. AIPAC claims it's domestic organization representing American citizens, funded by American donors, lobbying on behalf of Americans—not Israel. Kennedy administration investigated whether this description accurate. Declassified Justice Department files (National Archives) show lawyers concluded American Zionist Council acting as agent of Israeli government. Evidence: Financial records, correspondence with Israeli officials, testimony showing activities directed toward advancing Israeli government policy objectives. Registration would have required disclosure of Israeli ties, prohibited political contributions, required labeling as foreign agent, subjected to monitoring. Israeli government and pro-Israel organizations fought registration requirement. Kennedy administration faced political pressure but did not back down. Investigation continued 1962-1963. This was not only tension between Kennedy and Israel: JFK also pressured Israel on nuclear weapons (Dimona inspections) and Palestinian refugees (Joseph Johnson mission). By 1963, Kennedy administration in conflict with Israel on three fronts. November 22, 1963: Kennedy assassinated. Johnson's approach completely different. Within weeks/months: Investigation dropped, nuclear pressure ended, refugee issue abandoned. American Zionist Council restructured, AIPAC became separate entity (1963), grew into most powerful lobbying organization in Washington. AIPAC tracks Congressional votes, grades members on Israel support, mobilizes donors, funds primary challengers against Israel critics. Legislation supporting Israel passes by overwhelming margins (90%+ support). Question Kennedy raised remains unanswered: Is AIPAC operating on behalf of foreign government? Should it register as foreign agent? No subsequent administration reopened investigation. AIPAC never required to register.

Wniosek sam się narzuca : is fecit, cui prodest!
